This is the next step that you can do after creating your blog and deciding the type of blog (food, baby, personal diary, whatever it was as I mentioned before). I know you want to customize your blog to give it a little more taste or creativity. That was what I was thinking when I first started blogging. Here are the steps that you can take to change your blog template or layout.

1. Search "blogger templates free" in Google or go to the websites I have below.

What I really like are templates from www.btemplates.com and www.finalsense.com.

Feel free to browse their templates. They are pretty, fresh and easy to set up into your blog.

2. Select All, Copy and Paste

So, you found something special at Finalsense.com and you want to use it as your blog template. No worries. It is very easy to do. You just copy and paste.

For those who are not computer savvy, please learn the shortcuts Ctrl+A for Select All, Ctrl+C for Copy and Ctrl+V for Paste.

Go to Finalsense.com and login to your blogger account.
Select your template. Let's say you liked the "girl in wind" template. Click "More Details".

You will be taken to this screen. Select all the texts (XML Code) in the box using Ctrl+A in your keyboard. Press Ctrl+C to copy them. Then go to your blogger account.

Click the LAYOUT menu. Below it, click EDIT HTML. Delete all the texts in the box under Edit Template.

Then paste the XML Code that you copied earlier from finalsense.com by pressing Ctrl+V in your keyboard into the box. Click PREVIEW to see if you like it.

Below is how the blog looks like. You can then click SAVE TEMPLATE and you are done.

If you are not satisfied, then choose another template, select all the codes, copy and paste them into your blogger account. Easy, right? Go ahead and try it now to make your blog more likeable.

If you found a template that you like at btemplates.com, just get ready because it has a longer process. It is not really difficult. It just takes longer to do it. You have to download the template and upload to blogger. I will make that post next time.
